Having spent so much time at the Riu Palace RM just down from Riu Palace Mexico, we were not sure what to expect and selected this Palace resort because the other was about to close for renovations. This place did not let down.
The people are incredible. Oscar at the pool, Jesus at the front desk, Edwar at dinner, Manuel at the front, Francisco at the bar and so many more made this an incredible experience. I have a challenging time figuring out what to even say for a con. Here is a shortlist to help summarize our experience.
This hotel is the best one we have ever stayed in this is the 12 times we keep returning because the staff is so welcoming the food excellent the Mexican Riu staff are fantastic you can be very proud of all of them. The only thing I would do differently next year is to take a travel clock and pesos rather than dollars.
Family vacation and we had a wonderful time. The grounds are stunning, and the rooms were ever so comfortable — excellent beach access with well-planned activities for those so inclined to participate. The staff was top notch and left us wanting to return to the helmet diving cozumel mexico tour.
Rooms: could do with a total refurbishment a lot of the furniture looked like it had had its days! But always kept very clean, so do not let this put you off!.
Food: cannot fault the food. Plenty of choices, we can’t comment on the evening Buffett as we only ate in there twice, we just used all the a la carte restaurants every evening which were lovely.
Beach & pools: pool bar staff very attentive, always sun loungers free around the lakes and beach area at whatever time of the day, beach kept very clean, although we were fortunate as hardly had any seaweed during our stay.
Historic old house. A friendly vibe in this family-run business. Great breakfast and friendly people and service. Lovely garden with a swimming pool. Free parking. Conveniently located close to the Cenote Zaci and the city center. Overall good value for money.
We stayed for two nights this past July. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Valladolid. It just wouldn’t be right. Senor and Senora Sosa are the most beautiful people. They always go out of their way to make all of their guests feel special with their cozumel jet board tours suggestions. The staff is outstanding. We love them so much. They are the reason we will continue to come back to the Casa Marlene. I cry every time I leave.
We came to Casa Marlene as Casa Tia Mica was overbooked. A pleasant surprise because Casa Marlene even looked better and is next door. Free parking, great and clean rooms, delicious breakfast, excellent service, and a perfect place to walk into Valladolid.
Our daughter became ill the morning of our arrival, and the family that runs the hotel, and their staff went out of their way to accommodate her and make her comfortable. The hotel is furnished with antiques and family heirlooms which provides a unique experience. Our hosts provided dining recommendations and visitor tips. The breakfast was delicious and included mamey, a local fruit. Location is ideal, a few blocks to Cenote Zaci and the central plaza.
As others have said, this is a beautiful, tranquil oasis. When you walk through the front door, you enter a visually stunning, peaceful property. Rooms with gorgeous tile, a breakfast patio, and then the garden. We stayed here for two nights as a stopover on our way to Isla Holbox. The hotel is easy walking distance to the zocalo (town center) and also to a nearby cenote where we took a pleasant dip in the cold water.
Casa Marlene also has a small pool which was perfect for cooling off in after the intense heat of the afternoon. Our room was comfortable, large, and had great AC and a ceiling fan. The breakfast was incredibly useful, and my husband was delighted when they asked if he wanted flan for dessert!? Service was impeccable.
The rooms are spacious and well equipped – at least ours was, as for some reason the two of us had been booked into a room for 4. This room was part of the house itself. It seems as if the other places had been added at a later date. There is a beautiful small pool, and all is peaceful, orderly and restful.
My wife and I stayed Saturday-Wednesday of Labor Day. From the moment we arrived were treated great. Whisked away to Helios for lunch while we were waiting for our room. The room was ready around 2.
Had the standard suite, which had a living room, bedroom, two patios. Very nice. Got a quick rundown on how everything-work from our butler. Ate at Helios, El gaucho, the Italian restaurant, and Chic. Our butler arranged all reservations. Walked the grounds every morning, for three miles, colossal place.
I worked out twice at the gym. Got a couple of massages, used the spa pools. The chic show was a lot of fun. Way too much to drink tho!! Overall great trip. I have been to the Cancun area approximately 12 times. I never stayed at the same resort. I want to return here for a full week next time. Martha at Helios was our favorite staff member with her cozumel reef restoration recommendation. I would love to see her again.
My wife & I have been to loads of 5 star all inclusive resorts in the past, but this place surpasses them all, The staff, The rooms, The al La carte restaurants & bars are just perfect, It was nice to know we were able to relax in the adults-only section of the TRS without having to worry about kids running around screaming, Don’t get me wrong I love kids, but I love a bit of peace & quiet while on holiday, We enjoyed walking around the covered sections through the mangrove swamps & seeing the wildlife.
If you go on holiday here you will notice the difference between the TRS & the other 3 parts to the resort, When we had breakfast in the al La carte restaurants it was lovely & quiet with live music playing in the background but when you go into the buffet it was noise, Banging & Kids running around screaming.
On our last day, we saw a groundworker going around cleaning the lampposts with a cloth, I have never seen this on any holiday I have ever been on before.
It was a clean, peaceful resort. Staff was accommodating; the food was delicious — good selection in beer and hard liquor. Frozen pineapple margaritas were delicious. The pools were clean, and bbq was awesome.
We loved our short stay at Quinta Marciala, as it is a small and cute hotel with big rooms! It is in a quiet area and downtown is just a few blocks from there. Daniel, at the reception, is very very friendly and helpful. The small pool is beautiful to have a cooldown. As we had a rental car, they offered to park the card behind the fence, which gave us a safe feeling.
My girlfriend and I stayed here for a couple of nights and very much enjoyed it. The very friendly and accommodating front desk with the cozumel shore snorkel with lunch tips, which was an excellent help for me, especially with my limited Spanish. I had to work from my laptop both evenings and had no problems with the WiFi too, which is a massive plus for me. The rooms and bathrooms are good also – great for the price you pay. I would stay here again!
Our first visit to Valladolid was full of surprises, not least of which was navigating some harrowing one-way roads trying to find this property. But once there, we were so pleased with our choice of accommodation. Mildred checked us in with efficiency and top-notch service; she is a delight. We enjoyed helping her practice her English, and she helped us to make the most of our three days in the area.
Plentiful hot water, rain showerheads, comfortable bed and linens (but we needed more than sheets and had to ask for blankets, lol). Useful internet and cable tv services, there is a lovely continental breakfast served for only 50 pesos. Such beautiful people are working hard to make sure your stay is comfortable. We recommend and want to return.
The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly; despite language barriers, they went above and beyond to help me in any way they could. The hotel itself was beautiful and felt very safe, with a 10-minute walk into town along the main road. My room was spacious and very well equipped (good air conditioning, mini-fridge, ample wardrobe, excellent shower, etc.). I would highly recommend this hotel.
Lovely comfortable room with a double bed as well as a futon couch. Working TV, AC, fridge and hot water. Nothing exceptional about the place, but what makes all the difference is the excellent service from the receptionist (possibly owner?) He is kind, attentive to all our needs and very accommodating! Thank you for everything!
After very little sleep the night before, we were pleased to arrive at Hotel Quinta Marcia. The room was spacious with a separate sitting area partitioned from the bedroom.
We had the pleasure to spend 4 nights, and we are delighted to talk about our expertise. The resort is situated five minutes from the main pier and also at the center of downtown.
Staff at reception was friendly and beneficial. The lobby isn’t air-conditioned. Room was big, high working toilet, pleasant balcony overlooking the ocean. No bottles of water everywhere had to move to 7-11 next door.
Large comfy bed, AC worked flawlessly, safe labored, space had iron and ironing board. For the cost in comparison to the vast resorts out of the town, this really is a gem. AND an excellent breakfast buffet!
Spacious room with a gorgeous sea view, clean and comfy. Excellent customer service – they recommend to check the cozumel mini submarine adventure reviews to do an unforgettable activity in Cozumel, an agency with a grin. Could not ask for more. Strongly recommending Casa Mexicana and wanting to return.
For the last seven-plus years that our team visits Cozumel to dive. Every year we’ve stayed at Casa Mexicana. They’ve stayed consistent the whole period — that the breakfast buffet is still filling and great (mainly the made to order Belgian waffles, the made to order omelets, along with also the hands squeezed orange juice).
The rooms are constantly. Clean. This time Gaby in front desk and Bella in the concierge desk were incredibly beneficial. Thank you for a fantastic stay.
This is a beautiful spot to stay in. It is, and the staff is fantastic. There’s a good deal of great restaurants in walking distance. The breakfast buffet on site was excellent and had whatever you might desire.
This location is ideally situated, casual setting, professional employees, near malls and airport, includes a swimming pool and a pool table. Can not go wrong, affordable luxury. The following time in Miami I’m definitely staying here again.
We always opt for this Aloft home whenever we prepare to perform a cruise from Miami it isn’t far from the cruise port, and it is close to the airport, and we’ve got an excellent view of the airport that my spouse thoroughly enjoys she enjoys watching the airplanes land travel figure.
Staff is continuously fantastic Elizabeth takes care of us, she’s always friendly as is the remainder of the team, beautiful clean rooms, nearby restaurants, excellent pub, beds are all fantastic..and free parking, and another delightful, lovely stay at this Marriott home, thanks guys look forward to seeing you in our second Cruise future!
Comfortable rooms and a superb place to the airport. Stayed for just one night and was ideal for our requirements. Starbucks, Dunkin’ Donuts is right next shop to grab a quick bite to eat at the AM. Typical ALOFT lobby using a stylish vibe.
Average Aloft property. The spacious lobby that was good for me to function in a while awaiting space. Room was really wonderful. Broad and relaxing.
1-night stay made us well rested for the remainder of our excursion. The facilities were clean, fresh, and enjoyable! The lobby was spacious and open, with a great deal of light, and the fitness area was exceptional for a quick workout. The small mart had plenty of new & good breakfast options when compared with other people. The rooms were clean and spacious. The only annoyance was building quite early in the morning. The staff is very helpful that they recommended me the cozumel atv to jade caverns near the hotel. Will definitely come again!
Stayed in Aloft the night ahead of our Miami cruise. Very clean and amazingly affordable in comparison to other pre owned resorts. You will find restaurants nearby.
I guess that the resort is totally available because I suffered a foot injury before our trip. I learned to love hotels which are considerate, and this resort is the very best.
La Mar is excellent –we loved both breakfast and dinner. It is fantastic!
The restrooms which are on the restaurant level proved exceptionally well-done as an accessible-sized door provides you access to some private water closet that’s spacious and includes a sink and towels.
The rooms are all spacious. You can adjust the temperature to freezing cold (just how I like it). There’s a selection of cushions on the mattress soft and firm.
The desk, lamp, and plugs were useful since I needed to work somewhat. The only disadvantage is the net that’s included isn’t for streaming. You are going to need to decide whether to pay for one hour or even a day should you want better internet services.
The views of this town and the water are stunning, and every area has a balcony. The staff is welcoming and fantastic – in the valet, to the desk, to the pub. They always told the best activities on the island, such as the cozumel snuba tours very close to the hotel. Excellent support!
Last, the steam room in this hotel and sauna are all included. Do this! They will offer you a locker, robe, and slippers. Proceed, shower, and sweat it out, rain, and groom in peace. The region is quiet and pristine. There are lots of mirrors, a hairdryer, straightener, plus a curling iron. Additionally, there are toiletries–that the shampoo, body wash, and conditioner are at the showers (yes, they’re available).
That is my third time because of their Cielo excursion, I like it, they’re coordinated, and the ship is clean and well stocked with premium excellent beer (Dos Equis & Sol), blended beverages, and really excellent sandwiches and tacos. Off to Cielo where we anchored and let’s enjoy the beautiful clear water.
I enjoy all of the staff, and they do not hit on you enjoy the majority of the tour trip staff, I genuinely love they are only sweet and pleasurable. Among the team caught my sisters camera and took a pic of a batfish in slightly deeper water close to the ship, It was excellent shots, and generally, batfish is situated north of this island, so it’s rare that it had been there and he saw it! I had been impressed. We left and returned approximately 5:30 pm, and well worth the cost. I really like this operation!
The yummy meal, the calm water, along with the vibrant sunset generated among their most memorable eating experiences of our Cozumel trip.
All rooms overlook the sea, along with also the dive shop is a flight of stairs –it is as easy as may be.
The restaurant is on the dive store on the 2nd degree and overlooks the sea and cruise ships entering/leaving port at the space. The restaurant has excellent food at a fantastic price, although we discovered the drink prices for somewhat higher than elsewhere. Happy hour every day is 2 for 1 marks and beer, so that is the opportunity to do it. Everybody in the restaurant is incredibly friendly and accommodating. They even recommend you great activities like the trikes of cozumel near the shore.
They will even send to the pool below. 1 afternoon, it was only us, and also the dive guides always let’s pick the websites we wish to dip. It was wonderful. We all did our first-night dive Palancar Reef, and it was memorable.
Every dive guide we’d (we had 4 complete, a different one every day) was exceptional and prioritized safety in any way times. Excellent hotel.
Quite a tiny unique architectural resort but really beautiful. Each of the rooms have a beautiful small patio complete with hammock and the spa pool is quite refreshing after being outside in the afternoon warmth. Do not get to test the massive swimming pool, which is within the street. Fantastic breakfast, however as we often left in the afternoon for diving it was not always sensible to find breakfast. Those we did get to have been really yummy!I thoroughly enjoyed staying in Mi Casa en Cozumel and that I would not hesitate to keep here again.
Mi Casa is located and a fantastic place for spending some time around the island. The past couple of times we’ve seen, we’ve remained in the Zapote area, which can be a bit more expensive, but for the cost is an wonderful price. The rooms are amazing and so are incredibly relaxing to sit and revel in the space. We’ll continue to return if we can!
Cozumel is a fantastic place. I have visited it several times with my family and friends. We love looking at attractions, beaches, and points of interest. We just enjoyed it very much. That night near to our place I met another family. They were talking about some new playa del carmen deep sea fishing tours near to Cozumel; the Caribbean is characterized by diving and fishing excursions. We have not had the opportunity to try it. But, without a doubt, the next time we will do it very excited. My family loves aquatic adventures. So traveling offshore will not be a problem. On the contrary, it will be an unforgettable experience.
We have now stayed at Mi Casa en Cozumel 3 occasions in the previous 3 decades and every time is was exceptionally relaxing, comfortable and so convenient. It is a 5 minute walk to the principal grocery shop & significantly less than that to at least a dozen restaurants. We dip so we catch a fast yummy breakfast before we depart early in the afternoon. We have been in various rooms every time plus all of them have been spacious, tidy, comfy bed & trendy if required. We highly recommend this boutique resort.
This is our fourth year in a row which we spent a month. We love the area and the proprietor is a superb man, replies question of concern immediately. Enjoy being right in the town, utilize to remain on the water, but today we get have included breakfast at delightful dining area, then go for a long walk throughout the town or head out diving. It great from the day to go outside for a walk into supper, sooo many fantastic multi cultural restaurants, even more economical than cooking. I would strongly suggest staying here.
As usual, Memo met us as we came via collectivo(the first stop in their path!). Our very own private courtyard, only under the walk above, still quite personal. We like the neighborhood sense, and restaurant centers so close to 5th Avenue. We parked our rental car without any issues inside a block through the night throughout the week, sometimes directly ahead. Very secure. Irma’s breakfasts were fantastic, she always kept me supply of butter to my afternoon”bulletproof coffee”! AC had a issue, but Memo cared for it following day. Overhead fans in chambers silent. There’s a neighbor’s dog that barks every time a car or a scooter goes through the afternoon,Memo stated he wished we would take him back into Wisconsin! Everyone has dogs in this residential area, we enjoy it just fine, a Chihuahua in a round the corner apt! Alma’s pub down the road from the Cemetery, friendly and close, too. We return to Cozumel to consume, snorkel in the beach clubs, and escape the chilly Midwest winter for a week, and Mi Casa is our pick within the larger resort hotels. I only hope it will not get too hot however, we will have difficulty getting in next time!
We did not expect to appreciate Cozumel, apart from the submerged life, thus we just booked two nights to get started. On entering the hotel and visiting our area, we began talking about spending our receptive 3rd night , instead of moving to Tulum. The owner (Memo) made it possible for us to stay a 3rd night at the same area, and on our very first night that he spent some time around supplying us restaurant and dive store advice, each of which came in handy. He was also incredibly gracious about our later-than-expected coming that evening. The hotel is enchanting and distinctive, and feels personal and incorporated into a true locality, vs. being a part of this glitzy and completely unmemorable beachfront decoration. The area has been perfectly secure and convenient to all. We spent a great deal of time walking around, checking in with dive stores, comparing menus and appreciating the passionate Carnaval celebration. In addition to all that, the area itself was amazing, light, airy, nicely supplied, and inviting in every manner. The air conditioning was fantastic, although I believe we just used it one night, on low. The overhead fan was cooling and strong, along with also the cross-breeze was fantastic when we started windows/deck doors. We also loved the homemade breakfasts, served to purchase, in good time to create it into our morning. In this area has been the ideal foundation for loving Cozumel and observing our returns home after busy days. The only regret I have isn’t having discovered Mi Casa’s equal in Tulum or even Puerto Morelos.
We’ve remained at Mi Casa 4 or 5 times and loved every moment. It’s a gorgeous B&B–with white washed walls, plants, quiet rooms and a very tranquil feeling. Among our favorite aspects is that you just truly feel as though you’re in small city Mexico–the children are riding their bicycles families in their houses, it is possible to walk anywhere. So it seems like an extremely local adventure, while being personal and silent. The beds are comfy. The airconditioning and bathrooms are beautiful. Breakfast is provided daily and is quite significant: fruit, bakery, hot thing, juice and coffee. There’s a fridge in the room. We simply so appreciate our time.
This is a beautiful small resort with a wonderful central terrace for hanging out and studying, tidy and suitable by walking to all from Cozumel, the team was quite friendly and helpful. We had a vehicle leasing and there was a personal lot (really only a patch of dirt ) right alongside the resort where we paid a couple of dollars per day to park the vehicle.
Experts: Perfect in city place, it’s centrally situated and walkable to all. Karla and team are excellent. Villas are clean, spacious and protected. Courtyard and grounds are extremely nice, well preserved and also a relaxing place to assemble and hang out. They’ve a terrific outdoor kitchen including all you might have to barbecue. Disadvantages: Steep spiral staircase to bedroom. We had no troubles but a person elderly or poor knees might have difficulties. Kitchen required to be equipped. Villa had to have extra storage possibly a cabinet or dresser both downstairs and upstairs.
We love to travel to the magical waters of Cozumel. It is always a different experience. Either because we change accommodation, or because we decided to do a new activity. The island still has something new to show us every time. Had the pleasure to talk with interesting people who work there and in their free time go toascension bay fly fishing with some pros around the island. To be honest, we can not always prevent this place from being our first choice when we travel to Cozumel. It is an excellent hotel. The service and the rooms are very convenient. Such a nice place to stay every time you come to the island.
Fantastic Villas and good staff. This is our third stay and we loved it just like our first. The location of these villas (two blocks from El Centro) is ideal for us because we want to be near the action along with the nightly parties. The owners deliver fresh brewed coffee at work each morning that’s actually excellent. We’re already reserved for another remain for following year.
What a great find this small area is. At a fantastic location a brief walk to everything you might ever require. Quite pretty, love the decoration. Keep in mind there’s a spiral staircase up into the bedroom and toilet and within an older but match couple we handled it just fine. Bed is quite comfortable. Rooms are kept exceptionally clean Staff are beautiful and there to give a hand if you require. If we come back to Cozumel we’d certainly stay here again.
We stayed five times in this small well run hotel and actually enjoyed the location, particularly since the team was really friendly and useful. The villa was clean, nice dining space, spacious living area and bedroom, nice little pool and a silent shared courtyard. And you get amazing freshly made coffee in the daytime. We’d really like to return.
ALL the staff were incredibly useful, from the minute we booked until the minute we checked-out. Location can also be ideal, only few roads away from the primary vent and plaza, surrounded by pubs and pubs, all walking space on a perfectly secure atmosphere. Highly suggested.
I say that simply because we do not need all to discover about this small bit of heaven tucked away from CZM. What an excellent find! You are right in the center of all of it, however a block away from the primary drag and SO silent.Six units, I presume. Two narrative, kitchenette.l, living room along with BR/BA upstairs. Frankly you’ll be hard pressed to find anything that ideal.Karla is the house manager and she conveyed with us frequently before we came – and it had been our first excursion to CZM therefore she was pleased to answer our questions before we arrived. We also had Tammy and Maria assist us there – everybody had been so freakin’ fine! Bottom line-if you’re interested in finding a fantastic home at a fantastic place, quit looking and reserve Las Anclas today! We can not wait to reunite!
